According to The CHO (The Credit hire Organisation) , the UK Credit Hire Industry was estimated to be worth approximately £600 – £650 Million in 2009. The ‘First Tier Providers’ are members and subscribers to the Association of British Insurer’s GTA. (General Terms of Agreemenet) and are therefore, ‘regulated’. Their rates for credit hire are capped and agreed to by the ABI. To become a First Tier Provider you need to be a large Car Hire company.
